President’s Message
Donnie Moyd, Chapter President

Greetings,

Thank you for visiting our website!  I have the honor and privilege of serving as the president of Lambda Iota Omega Chapter, chartered on December 16, 1976. Through civic, social, and community engagement, we have rendered impactful service to this community and to all mankind. We are the supervising graduate chapter for undergraduate members on the campus of Brenau University Gainesville, Ga.  (Rho Eta Chapter).

Lambda Iota Omega is a chapter that continues to Learn, Empower, Achieve, and Develop as a Sisterhood that LEADS – in every endeavor.  Boasting a membership of trained women who are entrepreneurs and leaders in business, non-profit, and government sectors, the chapter is comprised of members who provide extensive leadership throughout Gainesville and Hall County.

Lambda Iota Omega continues to Soar to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood with our support of the vision and programs under the leadership of our 31st International President/CEO, Danette Anthony Reed for the 2022-2026 administration.  Our 2022-2026 International initiatives of “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood’ by focusing on the following five target areas:

  1. Empower Our Families
  2. Build Our Economic Wealth
  3. Enhance Our Environment
  4. Advocate for Social Justice
  5. Uplift Our Local Community

If you are a member of our sisterhood and you are new to the area or simply looking for a new chapter home, contact us to visit a chapter meeting.  I invite you to check out our social media pages, in addition to this website to learn more about our chapter, programs, and events.
